A Different Kind of Beetle Invasion from GamFratesi for GUBI

Mar 20, 2017

Beatlemania may have swept the planet in the late 1960s, but a different kind of Beetle had a major moment half a century later. We’re talking about two new additions to the insect-inspired Beetle collection from Dutch brand GUBI by award-winning design duo GamFratesi, which made their dynamic debut at the 2017 Stockholm Furniture Fair.

Building on the buzz surrounding the Beetle Collection, the Beetle Chair and Bar Chair takes flight with a polypropylene plastic shell in seven stunning colors spanning from bold black to “sweet pink,” with customization options for both for seat and front upholstery. Specifically, the Beetle Chair in oak with a smoked oak finish and black stained beech sees the addition of a chic wood base, while those looking for a twist on the traditional meeting chair will be captivated by the casted swivel base.

Also getting an inventive upgrade? GUBI’s Masculo Chair, newly launched with a fresh wood base in oak, smoked oak finish, black stained ash and oiled American walnut. Both the Masculo Chair and Lounge Chair versions will enhance GUBI’s innovative offerings with four-legged versions in metal — a fresh fix for the hospitality market.
